Happy Valentine's Day!

It's hard to believe we've been married for almost NINE years, and Valentine's Day has ALWAYS been a very important day to us... Let's go back about ten years when we were first engaged...It was Valentine's evening, and it was starting to become apparent that Tyler hadn't gotten me anything--yet! So, around 7 pm, he runs to his bedroom and emerges with a look of relief on his face and a card. Inside the card was a gift certificate to "Media Play." I thought, that it was nice, then I read the small handwriting on the card. It was signed, "Merry Christmas, Tyler, Love Grandma Jackson." Needless to say, I was about in tears, and to this day, Tyler firmly stands by his decision to re-gift that insisting he would be happy to get something like that! (Well, he did, and to end this story, Tyler eventually used his gift certificate he gave me!!!)

Anyway, that story always gives us a good laugh now when we tell it to people, and since then, Tyler has become much more romantic and sensitive. I guess most men just don't come that way...I know mine didn't!!! But, I still love him and we had a fun V-Day. The kids and I made Tyler a cookie bouquet and brought it to him at work. We all went out to lunch, which was extremely romantic with Trace and Sydney! Then that night, the kids made chocolate covered strawberries. Tyler and I went out to dinner the night after V-Day and had a great time! He also brought home some beautiful flowers and a movie!
See, he's doing much, much better! I love you Tyler!

Just as a side note for all you who don't know...Baby Nash is due to show up any day now. The doctor said I was dilated to about a 4...however, because of our amazing planning and insurance situation, we are hoping he doesn't come until after the 21st. So, Tyler has put me on strict bed/blog rest (which was really nice over the weekend...I literally didn't lift a finger). If all goes well, I'll be induced on the 22nd, so that we can actually make it to the hospital. My labor with Sydney was a total of 2 1/2 hours...so it's a little scary! I'd post a picture of me in my pregnant misery, but what's the point?

I was going to INSIST that you post a new blog, and then much to my surprise you had a new one!! Woohoo! Well done friend. I totally forgot about that. I feel partly to blame for that. He is my brother…. Although he is 10 years my senior I should have taught him better… even a young lass like me knew better then that! I am sorry! BUT it is all about improvement right? The reason I can think is to show off that you are one of the cutest prego girlys ever!:)

I can totally top that. My first V-Day with Reg was spent caving with 10 of his guy friends. It gets worse from there. That was the highlight of it. What can you do. Good luck with the baby...and I love Nash! I will forever be jealous.

I had to come check out Holli's comments and make sure my good name was still intact. Apparently not, I guess I'll have to make up for it ... but not during snowmobile season...

Oh that is hilarious! I'm sure he loves that you blogged that story! lol. My hubby, well we were just dating then I guess, on our first v-day, gave me a stuffed winnie the pooh holding a heart... uh, someone must have told him that every girl loves stuffed animals or something, um not true, and winnie the pooh? oh dear.
Nash? That is so darling! I wondered if you'd picked a name! I hope everything goes well! I'll be checking back for news and pics!
