About to Lose It!

Sydney has always known how to turn on the charm, and lately, she's really been workin' it. She has discovered how to NOT get in as much trouble with me when I'm about to lose it.

For example, let's say Sydney has just spilled her drink, again, or "accidentally" peed on the floor, again, or pulled out ALL the dental floss, again, or asked me for the 50th time to watch a show, and she knows I'm about to lose it, she'll quickly with an upbeat voice say,

"You're the BEST Mom EVER!"
or
"I love you the best, Mom!"

And, sometimes if she's running out of time, she'll repeat both over and over again.

I just can't help but NOT lose it.

Indoor Summer Fun!

Tyler is such a good daddy, and here is one of his many made-up games that the kiddos love to play. All you need for this activity is a couch, a strong leg, and some willing participants. Roll the tape!

(P.S. The very end is my favorite)

Close Your Mouth When You CHEW!

Here is Nash's imitation of his momma eating. He does not actually have any food in his mouth...he was just watching me eat.

Fun for Wii!!

Today my friend Holli invited us to come play. I believe her exact words were, "come up and play Rock Band while the kids play." Ummmm, OKAY!! It was so much fun because I am an awesome ROCKER! (Right, Holli???) After I was done rockin' out to "Wanted Dead or Alive" and "Faith No More" and having crazy flashbacks of 7th and 8th grade, she busted out the Wii Fit.

I am SORE!!!

I just barely told Tyler that I should probably start exercising, mainly because I pulled a muscle playing basketball at an arcade with Tyler last night. WOW! I guess it would be the understatement of the year to say that I'm out of shape. Don't worry though, I am undergoing some serious lifestyle changes asap as you can see in the pics. I logged in 17 minutes of strenuous exercise today, and I'm not stopping there. Since the Wii Fit is currently sold out, it looks like Holli will be my lucky new trainer. See you sooooooon, Holli!

Dollar Tree

The kids FINALLY earned a dollar so we went to the Almighty Dollar Tree today. This is our third trip and every one proves eventful. Today, Trace chose a gigantic coloring poster thing, and Sydney, another 4-pack of Extra Sugar Free Gum, this time, spearmint. I purchased Gummy Bears for myself, even though I didn't physically earn 20 stars on a chart. I figure, I probably did enough chores this week to earn several packages of Gummy Bears. Plus, I wanted my kids to know that I'm not above Dollar Store treats.

Anyhow, little did I know how entertaining these 3 items would be. When we got home, Sydney starting the daunting task of unwrapping the gum. Trace colored his picture for a few minutes, then asked for 5 Gummy Bears. I reluctantly gave him some.

I am happy to report that I received about 45 minutes of freedom with these purchases. Sydney disappeared to the playroom for awhile, later emerging with all of her gum unwrapped to their bright green nakedness. After this, she drove her nude gum around in the dump truck.

Trace took his 5 Gummies and played with them for an hour before devouring them. Those poor bears didn't even see it coming. I quickly offered him 5 more, which is why I am able to post right now. They are currently jumping off cliffs (aka the kitchen counter).

I think I'm going to be a little more star happy now so we can make the Dollar Tree a weekly trip.

Pop Quiz: What is my favorite brand of Gummy Bears and why???? The first person to answer this correctly will win a year supply of those delicious gummies. (Ok, maybe I'll get ONE bag for you and SEVERAL bags for me). Sorry, Tyler, but you are exempt from this contest.
