Bored

I have nothing to do right now (gasp) because I'm patiently awaiting Tyler's return from old-man rec-league b-ball so we can watch Idol! The last time I started watching it without him, I was verbally assaulted. Lesson learned.

I'm trying to decide if there is anything of worth to report right now....let's see...Tyler and I have both started exercising. Tyler is one week in and going strong. I am one week in and done. Fini.

Let me describe my short-lived exercise routine to you.
1. Pop in new Pilates DVD courtesy of Wal-Mart.
2. Get down on exercise mat (beach towel) and begin the first exercise to a "Perfect Pilates body".
3. Use all my strength, breathing techniques, and will power to form a beautiful Pilates "stretch" with one leg gracefully raised in the air.
3. Try to hold this position while Trace pretends my leg is a hurdle.
4. Try to hold this position while Nash pretends I'm a bridge.
5. Try to hold this position (and not laugh) while Sydney does it along with me.

Tyler is now home. Time for some Idol.

Yes, that is why a gym membership with babysitting is necessary.

I know what you mean by having to wait for hubby to watch a show. While Brad doesn't verbally assult, he insists on rewinding everything about a million times (normally) so watching it beforehand to rewind it even more . . . I just can't do it.

Ooh, goodie, that reminds me that I have Idol taped downstairs for my viewing pleasure this afternoon! Good luck on the exercising - you look fab anyway!

Oh that's right, Sydney was telling me about (and demonstrating) all of her Pilates moves yesterday. It was hilarious. She showed me the DVD and asked, "Celeste, do you even know what Pilates is?" Your blog always reminds me of how funny your kids are.

oh that is too true!! surely there's a way to incorporate the kids into our intended excercise routines but I sure haven't discovered it yet!!!

That's as funny as my experience with beginning yoga (also courtesy of Walmart). here i was at 6:30 am with my mat and comfortable clothes all psyched up to get motivated for the day. as soon as i sat on the floor, the dog thinks it's time to play and she keeps nudging my hands. then the cats start their usual wrestling behind my back, then Ralph pokes his head in to see what i'm doing as i try to stretch while watching the DVD and yelling at animals. needless to say, i haven't even looked at the PM yoga lesson. i think i'll wait until summer when the pool's open!

Love it! Maybe that's why I don't exercise - or just a good excuse I guess! Hope you're feeling better.

Phew...I thought for a minute you had broken our pact to NEVER exercise, and ALWAYS eat treats!
